There’s nothing like a last minute job offer that includes an accent…when you’re not prolific with accents. Luckily I found Sarah on IG, drawn in by her enthusiasm and rapid fire accents. She did not disappoint. Not only does she have a great technique for getting you into an accent quickly, you can tell she is invested in you doing a good job. Looking forward to working with Sarah again on the next accent.
I can testify to the effort Sarah put into helping me in the course. I was about to give up on the course due to hearing difficulties, but Sarah decided to provide a way to help me overcome my challenges. I am better off now and feel good about what I’ve learned from her class. A good teacher is someone who won’t give up on you.

I strongly recommend this course for anyone interested in pursuing a career in front of a camera – (either full time or as a hobby.) I took the course hoping to improve my self-taping technological skills. I learned so much about the technology, that was great. But even better, it was fun! It was great getting feedback from the other participants. But the best part was Sarah’s teaching style. As a teacher myself, I have strong feelings about teaching styles. Sarah is warm, caring, and so positive. And she doesn’t balk at suggesting ways in which a student can improve… but she does it in such a way, that students want to do it better. Sarah is a great teacher and she really helped to make the course fun and instructive.

Before taking this self-tape course, I was an absolute amateur! There are many key elements to consider when doing a self-tape that I never thought about before. This course is highly interactive with awesome and helpful classmates too, which makes it even better because we all help each other out along the way. Not to mention the coach is right there with you the whole time. My videos went from amateur to professional looking in only 7 days! I would absolutely recommend this course to a friend, it’s 100% worth it.

I really enjoyed taking this course. I gained so much experience and learned so much from it. It helped me with learning to audition and to understand the directors point of view. I learned to be more expressive, which is something I don’t normally do. I think this course will help people have a much better chance to get the role on the audition because you know what you have to do with acting, editing and even filming set up. I would recommend people to take this course if they want to step up their game on acting front.

I thought the Self-Tape 7 day course was brilliant! There was lots of really good and helpful training information provided. The scripts were super fun and I enjoyed the variation in the scripts too. I was very daunted when I was told two weeks before shooting that my character on Underbelly was no longer a Kiwi and now had a strong Lancashire accent.
In fact daunted would probably be the understatement of the century!
However, Sarah soon came to the rescue and with her help the whole process was far easier than I had anticipated. She broke down every line with me and her support filled me with the confidence I needed.

I met Sarah Valentine a couple of months ago when I was preparing for an audition. I needed to learn an accent in a matter of days and although it was short notice she was more than happy to work with me.
