Once booked you can choose an accent of your choice. (* please check with me first before booking to make sure that I can do the accent that you want to learn.) You can either send me a script you are working on or I can send material for you to learn.
ACCENTS:
USA: Standard American, Southern American, New York, New Jersey.
EUROPE: German English, French English, Russian English, Spanish English, Dutch English, Eastern European.
BRITISH: Standard British, Welsh, Northern Irish, Southern Irish, Geordie, Liverpool (Scouse), Brummie, Cockney, Somerset, Devonshire, West Country, Essex, Manchester, Yorkshire, Cockney,
WORLD: South African, Jamaican.
The session is broken down into 3 sections:
- I will record your practise sentences or the audition script before our session so that you have a clean copy of the words you need to say in the accent and you can practise them before the session. We then use the time to fine tune your accent. (I deduct the amount of time that it takes me to record your lines from the session, or if it’s short then approx 15 minutes from the hour to cover this). If we don’t have time to record before the session I will do it afterwards.
- We create a spark (the trigger to get you into the accent – approx 15 minutes) depending on whether you want this or not.
- We work on a piece of dialogue/audition/script/accent reduction sentences you have to work on (approx 30 minutes)
This can change depending on what it is you need from me in terms of learning an accent. I’m very flexible and can work around you so that you get exactly what you need.
I can testify to the effort Sarah put into helping me in the course.
