Hello, my name is Sarah Valentine, I’m an Accent and Dialect Coach.
I teach accents to actors, voice actors and can also help with accent reduction.
I have dedicated my life to learning accents and dialects from around the globe.
Using my unique ‘Valentine Method’ you will learn your accent quickly, in a fun & relaxed environment.
Accent Coaching
There’s nothing like a last minute job offer that includes an accent…when you’re not prolific with accents. Luckily I found Sarah on IG, drawn in by her enthusiasm and rapid fire accents. She did not disappoint. Not only does she have a great technique for getting you into an accent quickly, you can tell she is invested in you doing a good job. Looking forward to working with Sarah again on the next accent.

Accent recording
I allow up to 30 minutes for this.
If you need to learn an accent for an audition, confirmed role or for fun and need it quickly then email me your text and I will turn it around in 24 hours. (normally) NO MORE THAN 3 MINUTES OF TEXT per audition script. If your script is longer just email me to discuss.
More Details
Script Recording is a 30-minute session and can usually be turned around in 24 hours. (audition scripts are usually 2-3 pages with 5-20 lines maximum. If you have a larger script just email me to discuss your options)
The session is made up of 10 minutes preparation, 15 minutes recording and 5 minutes uploading the file. I will record the entire script with little or no intonation so that you can learn the words straight off the recording.
I do 3 types of recording.
1. “Singles” this is where I record a word leave a space then another word, leave a space another word leave a space and so on. So that you can listen and repeat.
2. "Just your lines" is just your lines .
3. "All lines together" are all the characters lines, I also try to record the other lines in other accents if possible so you can distinguish your accent clearly.
Once you have those lines down and want to take it to the next level, you can book in for a one on one session if required.
This can be a FaceTime, Whats app, Zoom or a Skype session and we can then iron out any difficulties you may be experiencing.

Group Coaching
Sessions are available for coaching for theatre or large scale movie productions. I can work together with your actors in groups. They will gain confidence in their accents so that they can perform it to the best of their ability.
